A love-ly printable...

So, I know I haven't posted in ages, but it doesn't mean I haven't been working on creative things! I just need to get back into writing about them (and remembering to take pictures BEFORE I give things away!)...

Today I want to share a printable with you... I made it using the amazing picnik.com... We had two weddings this month (congrats guys!), so I decided to try out my subway art skills on the classic 1 Corinthians 13 love passage... Here's how they turned out:

I chose colours to match what I knew about the wedding colours - purple and teal! Then, I printed them at home using photo paper (I'm sure you could just as easily send it somewhere to be printed), put them in white frames, and tied bows on them! Of course, I forgot to take pictures of them finished, so you'll just have to imagine :)

I had hoped to post these for download (in case you want a copy for yourself!), but I haven't had time to figure that part out just yet... Let me know if you're interested and I can always send you the file (they're sized to 8x10)...

Catching up...

Hello!!

I've had a few people asking where I've been lately, and I'm sorry! Life has been extra hectic lately with Mark working tons of hours, me doing some income tax prep (yay for "adult time"), the start of swimming lessons for both kids, ultimate frisbee for Mark and me (SO much fun), and a million other things of course!

I have been working on a few projects, but one of the other things we've been dealing with is the water issue in our newly-finished basement, more specifically, right underneath my sewing area! We did have our wonderful plumber come in, and he seems to have fixed the problem, but we had to rip up some of the (8-month-old) carpet... So, for now, my sewing desk is in the rec room, in front of the tv, which proves to be a bit distracting when I'm working on things...

Today, I just wanted to share a couple of things for Easter, since next week will be too late! First, remember the lovely Subway Art I've been raving about? Well, I found this amazing Easter one here, printed it on 8x10 photo paper, and put it in a frame... Every time I see it in our front hall, it serves as a reminder of why we celebrate Easter!

Second, I wanted to do something fun with my two-year-old, and was inspired by the amazing cookies this lady makes (and look at these ones!)... I found some cutters at Zehrs (egg, bunny, flower) and away we went... It turns out that it was a much bigger process than I anticipated, including 2 hours for the dough in the fridge, so right now I only have the cookies baked... Hopefully we will have a chance to decorate them today or tomorrow...

Anyway, that's all I have for now, but I hope to post soon about the orders I've been working on, as well as a couple of other projects...
